Abstract

This record group of the institution was generated by the Board of Trustees beginning in 1917. In over eight decades of Bank Street College and predecessor, The Bureau of Educational Experiments, the Board evolved from one of financial oversight to that of school management, fundraising, and establishing an office of the president. Correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and charters are large parts of the institutional record-keeping.

Abstract The records in this record group of the institution were first generated by the Nursery School of the Bureau of Educational Experiments (BEE) beginning in 1918 and, later, the Bank Street School for Children. Abstract

The Charlotte Biber Winsor Papers were generated by Winsor in the course of her professional life, through the mid-twentieth century. Much of the materials concern her work on the graduate program of Bank Street College, the Public School Workshop, research studies, and faculty and administration interaction. Winsor’s work was collected in notes, reports, speeches, correspondence, biographical writings, and other formats.
